“ ACCAS is PROUD :  Hectalina Donado, from Colegio Karl C. Parrish, has been named National Distinguished Principal for 2005.   This award is given annually by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) to one elem. principal from each state.  Several are chosen from overseas schools as well, through the support of the Office of Overseas Schools of the Department of State.  She and her husband Julio will travel to Washington in October to attend the ceremonies. 

Many of you know Hectalina and the great work she’s done here for 20 years, the latest of which is the Reggio preschool program.  No one could deserve this award more and we’re all celebrating with her.   “
